Niepoort Ruby Dum, 75cl - From low yielding vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douro Valley. The Niepoort 'twins' as depicted on the quirky bottles come from the same lot but are aged differently so that Ruby Dum is rich and ruby in style with aromas of dark cherries and plums. Perfect with cheese after a meal.
Chateaux Ollieux Romanis, 'Cuvee Alice' 2019-
A youthful dark ruby with a concentrated and powerful nose of plums, blackberries and coffee. Round and open on the palate with fresh red fruit flavours and a pronounced minerality. The finish is short yet ripe. Try with baked ham glazed with honey, orange and ginger, lamb kebabs or duck rillettes.
Finocchiona 80g - is salami that's steeped in Tuscan tradition. In the Middle Ages black pepper was expensive and scarce so the Tuscan peasants started using fennel instead. It’s made with medium coarse ground pork from the leg, back, cheek and shoulder, which is flavoured with fennel seed.
